It depends on the type of surf cover you need based on your characteristics:
Sock surf cover: Choose the same length or something greater than your surfboard .
5mm surf cover : It is recommended to choose the same size as your board or 1 inch larger than your surfboard because the brands already foresee that the covers must be a little larger than the board so that it can fit well.
10mm surf cover : Recommended to take up to 1 extra foot to your surfboard , to have it well protected by adding cardboard, bubble wrap or anything you want to put to protect your boards well.
To know which surf cover is the right one. Apart from having the clear length, it is very important to look at the maximum interior width that each cover allows, you can see it in the characteristics of each product to make sure if it is the right cover for your board.
